Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who starting the modern science-based study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in court situations. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded several awards and grants. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around all over the world on policy and research relating to the treatment of child victims of the law by the system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
